Harvesting the Tradition

Remington Ryde

Remington Ryde was formed in 2002. Ryan Frankhouser, the leader, was 18 years old when he started the band. It started as a local family band and has turned into one of the busiest bluegrass bands on the bluegrass circuit today performing over 100 dates each year all throughout the US and Canada. Current band members became aquainted through the music. There have been only two band members changes in 13 years. The current lineup is composed of Ryan Frankhouser on Guitar and Lead Vocals, Billy Lee Cox on Banjo, Rich Kratzer on Mandolin, Greg Moore on fiddle, and Richard Egolf on Bass. Billy Lee Cox is endorsed by Deering Banjos and Greg Moore is endorsed by Black Diamond Strings.

Ryan says Ricky Skaggs has been a big influence on the band as well Jimmy Martin! We like to carry on the tradition of Traditional Bluegrass Music! Ryan says that they have been so blessed to be able to be a part of most of the biggest Bluegrass Festivals in the country including Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival in Indiana, Red White & Bluegrass Festival in North Carolina, Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival in Pennsylvania, and the list goes on. Each year they have been performing over 100 tour dates a year and the RYDE has been incredible. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways and continues to do so. Ryan says that their goal is to keep working hard and one day play the Ryman Auditorium!!

Remington Ryde hosts their own Bluegrass Festival every second weekend in July!! The festival features 4 full days of bluegrass music!
